Our Team

Lecturers at the Department of English comprise native English and Indonesian lecturers who graduated from reputable international and national institutions. They have been selected for their competencies and experiences in teaching English language and literature. Guest lecturers and visiting professors from network higher education institutions are also scheduled in various major courses. Among the fulltime lecturers are:

Earned her bachelor's degree in English Education at Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta and completed her master's degree in English Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Bandung. Her research is in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Linguistics. She is a nationally certified lecturer in English Education.

Lecturer earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in English Language Studies from Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. She was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Johns Hopkins University, Washington, D.C. Her research focuses on Translation, Discourse Analysis, and Sociolingistics.

Graduated from Petra Christian University, Surabaya and completed a teacher training and research program at Chiba University, Japan. She earned her master degree in Applied English Linguistics at Atmajaya Catholic University, Jakarta. Her research interests include Second Language Reading/Writing and Second Language Learning. She is currently pursuing her Ph. D. in Education at Seattle Pacific University.

SILVIA MAYASARI

Earned a joint B.A. in English and German Language and Literature from Technische Universitat Darmstadt. Her M.A. is in British Studies from Johannes Gutenberg Universitat Mainz. She specializes in Women’s Studies/Feminism, Post-Colonial Studies, and Comparative Literature. She translates short stories into English and German in her free time – the latest are two stories included in a collection of twelve short stories by Indonesian women writers presented in Frankfurt Book Fair 2015. She is working on her doctoral dissertation through distance learning with Université Lumière Lyon 2.
